Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
The CEO Masterclass is a 3-Day mentoring and networking forum exclusively for CEOs. It is a vibrant hub for CEOs to come find themselves, find mentors, mentor their upcoming colleagues, and grow their networks.
It is a very unique forum, the only one of its kind in Kenya. It blends both experienced and recently appointed CEOs, which provides the latter a deep well of experiences and knowledge from which to draw, as they chart their own trajectory.
The thinking behind the CEO Masterclass is a response to the fact that there is no structured forum where CEOs can go learn their trade. CEOs have long grappled with questions like-:
- Where does one go for training as a CEO?
- Where can a CEO find his or her peers to share experiences, learn from one another, and explore their fears in a safe environment?
It is generally recognized that business schools are mainly geared towards making better managers technically, but nobody teaches you how to be a CEO, moving from a mindset of a line manager to embracing the big picture.
Many newly appointed CEOs grapple with steep learning curves. The only person who can induct another CEO into the intricacies of the job, is another CEO because they have been there, done that!
As a participant, you will be taken through the following building blocks of the CEO Masterclass-:
- The Dot Perspective - positioning yourself in the whole scheme of things from self, family, corporate, country, globe and universe.
- Self-awareness - mapping yourself, and the benefits of regular self-evaluation.
- Story telling - searching for the turnaround moments in your life that determine who you are, and telling your personal story.
- Network analysis - evaluate whether the people around you are assisting your trajectory or weighing it down. How do you create a network for success as a CEO?
There is now a critical mass of CEOs in Kenya who have since exited into other pursuits. Their stories are well known, told to great acclaim or criticism. The CEO Masterclass provides you with the model to use in structuring your CEO trajectory so that your story is told as you want it to be.
The CEO Masterclass has tried and tested proprietary models that will be imparted during the forum to assist you undertake the self-development modules of the training. The training is designed to provide ample time for sharing and bonding among the participants.
